BC547B BC547 TO-92 45V 100MA NPN Transistor 5 Pieces

This is a BC547 transistor, it is an NPN bi-polar junction transistor. The term transistor, which means transfer of resistance, is ordinarily used to increase current. A little current at its base controls a bigger current at collector and emitter terminals. Base, Emitter and Collector are terms used to describe the three leads terminals of a resistor.

BC547 is predominantly utilized for amplification and switching purposes, with its maximum current gain of 800, it is used in many electronic circuits today. Its equivalent or complementary transistors are BC548 and BC549.

The transistor terminals require a fixed DC voltage to work in the desired condition that it is designed to operate on. This phenomenon is known as biasing. For amplification purposes, the transistor is biased in order that it will remain on in all input conditions.
